Who We Are
The professionals at Voyager Power are independent energy brokers whose primary obligation is to analyze your electricity usage and negotiate a lower price for your electricity.
What This Means
In Massachusetts energy is deregulated so you have the option to purchase your electricity directly from a Competitive Supplier. There are a number of Competitive Suppliers currently serving both residential and business customers in Massachusetts. On March 1, 2005, electric service in Massachusetts changed in accordance with the Electric Restructuring Act. By law, electricity customers who received Standard Offer Service were transferred to Basic Service.
What We Do:
We solicit bids from all eligible suppliers. Our process for creating simultaneous bidding is the best way to create price transparency and permit an apples-to-apples comparison of offers and gets you the best price.
Energy Is Deregulated in Massachusetts
Energy Deregulation means your electric services are separated into two components:
Delivery Services and Supplier Services
Your current Electric Company continues to deliver power to your home and business, read your meter, care for the poles and wires, provide customer service, and restore power when there is an outage.
Since deregulation, Massachusetts consumers are able to shop for and purchase electricity from competitive power suppliers.
Look at your bill - It will either read Basic - which means you are buying the actual electricity from your the electric company that delivers your electricity or it reads the name of your Competitive Power Supplier.
Regardless of who you are buying the electricity from, Voyager Power can help.
- We shop the competitive market.
- We compare the Competitive Suppliers' options to Basic Service.
- We bid your electric power needs to multiple Competitive Suppliers to get you the best price.
- We look at the length and terms of the contract, billing, payment, deposit, warranty and other informatIon in addition to price, and value to you.
Regardless of who you buy the power from, your electric company continues to deliver power to your home and business, read your meter, care for the poles and wires, provide customer service, and restore power when there is an outage. There is no-cost and no-obligation to have our energy consultants review your bill and put your energy needs out to bid! The bottom line - If we can't save you money, we will recommend that you stay on the service you currently have.
What you do:
Your bill will still come from your electric company - same as it does now.
You will still make your payment the same as you do now.
If you have an outage, you will call who you would call today.
